How
to maintain your Victory
We
HAVE an adversary, or enemy.
“Be
of sober spirit, be on the alert.
Your
adversary, the devil prowls about like a roaring lion
seeking
someone to devour.” 1 Peter 5:8
Have
I surrendered ground to Satan?
“And
do not give the devil opportunity.” Ephesians.
4:27
Submit to God by confession the area that has been
given
to Satan as sin, reclaim it and give it to God.
“Submit
therefore to God” James 4:7a
“If
we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to
forgive
us our sins and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness.”
1 John 1:9
You
must resist by speaking to and commanding Satan
to
go in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
“Resist
the devil and he will flee from you.” James
4:7b
“You
are from God, little children, and have overcome them;
because
greater is He who is in you than he who is in the
world.”
1 John 4:4
Believe
and give God thanks for your victory
“But
thanks be to God, who gives us the victory
through
our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1
Corinthians. 15:57
“And
you shall know the truth, and
the
truth shall make you free.” John
8:32
“Blessed
are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for
they shall be satisfied.” Matthew.
5:6
“Finally
brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable,
whatever
is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely,
whatever
is of good repute, if there is any excellence and
if anything worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on
these
things.” Philippians. 4:8
Put
on the Full Armor Daily.
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His
might.
Put on the whole armor of God that you may be
able
to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.
For
we are not contending against flesh and blood, but
against
the principalities, against the powers, against
the
world rules of this present darkness, against the
spiritual
hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Therefore take the whole armor of God, that you may
be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all,
to stand.
Stand
therefore, having girded your loins with truth,
and
having put on the breastplate of
Jesus’ righteousness,
and
having shod your feet with the equipment of the gospel
of
peace; besides all these, taking the shield of faith,
with
which you can quench all the flaming darts of the evil
one.
And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the
Spirit,
which is the word of God.” Ephesians
6:10-17
Give
praise to God
“His
praise shall continually be in my mouth.”
Psalm 34:1b
“If
therefore the Son shall make you free, you shall be free
indeed.
John 8:36
Seek
Encouragement
“Not
forsaking our assembling together, as is the habit of
some,
but encouraging one another; and all the more, as you
see
the day drawing near.” Hebrews 10:25
