"But now is Christ Risen from the dead.
(1 Corinthians. 15:20)
"He disarmed the principalities and powers and made a public
example of them, triumphing over them in him."
(Colossians. 2:15)
We've recently celebrated the greatest day in history:
Easter Sunday--Christ's resurrection from the dead.
On Friday, Satan and the demons of Hell, thought they were
ridding themselves of this Christ. The agony of the cross
and the cries from the suffering Christ caused cheers and
applause in Hell.
During the Battle of Waterloo, news of the battle was
flashed from the hilltop by signal men until it reached
London. In London, a
large display board hung in the public
square to report updates on the war, and at a critical point
in the battle a signal was received through the thick fog
from sea.
These were the words written by the scribe on the board:
"WELLINGTON DEFEATED." At that moment, panic struck
the British people, and many made preparations to
immediately flee England! The
words revealed that the
British had been defeated by the French army, and now the
French would be advancing on English soil.
Then through the thick fog, one more word came through
the signalmen, which was written on the board:
NAPOLEON!" Now
the complete message read:
"WELLINGTON DEFEATED NAPOLEON!"
Fear and panic turned into joy and celebration, because the
enemy had been defeated.
On Friday, the devil scrawled the words:
"JESUS CHRIST DEFEATED."
His death on the cross was sure - His breath ceased and he
was laid in a cold tomb. Gone
Forever! But on Sunday—the
words were completed:
"JESUS CHRIST DEFEATED SATAN!".
Christ is alive! And
because He lives, we can face any
situation in His strength. Satan,
sin and his misery have
been defeated. This is the greatest battle ever won in
history!
We welcome your comments, and ask for your prayer for
this ministry.
